February

I'm just going to summarize this last month so I can post more current things, so this past month. . . . . . . . . . sickness. That basically describes our month of February. Sadie started the month out with a cough and had that combined with many other gross symptoms I won't bore you with for about three weeks. A week after Sadie started, Lexi came down with the same flu (I think) and hers lasted for two weeks. Three days after Lexi started, I came down with the flu and was sick for a week. Four days after I started, Haylee came down with it, but hers got serious enough I took her to the doctor. She had RSV, which to my surprise there was nothing they could do for her. They recommended breathing treatments and humidifier combined with any other home remedies we knew of but not to give her anything but Tylenol to keep her fever down. I found out that RSV isn't as serious for any baby three months or older as it is for younger newborns. So we spent the month recuperating and now we are all healthy. Fun huh? But we did have lots of Popsicles, ice cream, root beer for sore throats. We also had plenty of story times and movie nights. Even though we were sick, we still got to do some fun things! Many of you may ask how Cory did during all of this? He was a godsend!!! He never did get sick (he has a fabulous immune system which the girls didn't inherit) and he was so helpful. He got up in the night with all three girls at one point or another and he went to the store for anything we wanted to make us feel better. He snuggled all three little girls and even his big girl to help them feel better. Thanks Babe! I never would have made it through the month without you!

Weekend Excursions

Let me tell you how much I HATE grocery shopping now days. I used to enjoy trips to town, but now with three kids in tow it is such a disaster. All of you mothers out there know exactly what I am talking about, but my options are limited so I must endure those weekend trips to Idaho Falls for grocery shopping, running errands that all three kids have to get out of the car for, and endless lists. I have to make it a two day event, or I would NEVER come close to completing my list of things to do in town. My kids are pretty well behaved having done this kind of thing many times before by now, though not angelic they manage to do good. But I still really dread the thought of those much needed monthly weekends in town.

This last time I got some relief in my friend Korryn. She was such a lifesaver!!!! She let me stay at her house (for some much needed girl time) and then she watched my kids for me to finish my shopping! It was such a reprieve! My girls had such a good time with her kids. They keep asking when we get to go there again. She had five kids of her own but her oldest two, MaKady and Savannah were great to help with my kids. Thanks girls! I might have to hire Korryn to watch my kids each time! Hee! Hee! :) Thanks Korryn, it was a fun and exciting weekend even with the burden of shopping!
Below: Lexi thought the baby toy was more fun than the big kid toys at the Lott house.
She likes to watch out for Haylee for me too!

Below: Sadie and Anthony were inseparable! They had such a fun time together. Sadie cried when I told her it was time to go home. But we'll be back at the Lott house in a couple weeks!

I finally posted my proof!

I finally finished my girls' Christmas dresses. I actually got them finished four weeks ago but I am just now posting the proof that I do finish some of my projects! I just need to finish my calendars which are about done and I will have my Christmas all done! That sounds sooo bad. I can't believe what a bad job I did this year at getting things done. I am going to work on that and change it this year! Here are the pictures of my girls' and their "winter" dresses. I made a matching skirt for myself as well, but I had to take the pictures before church or it wouldn't get done after. Where Cory goes to his meeting before and after church, I had to improvise. The next camera I get I'll make sure we have a tripod for!

Here's the full length picture:
Haylee didn't cooperate to show you the bottom half of her dress,
she was more interested in showing you her tights instead!

All three mostly in smiles:

Poolside Fun

Back in January Cory and I decided to take a little mini-vacation to Idaho Falls. We had to go do some business there and wanted to do something fun with the kids. We surprised them with spending the night at a hotel and all the swimming they could stand. We were up until eleven that night in the pool. I figured the girls would be tired the next day and sleep in, boy was I WRONG! They were up at six-thirty to go to breakfast and straight into the pool again! You'd think our kids don't get out much :) Sadie was such a daredevil with her life jacket on. I lost count of the number of times she jumped into the pool. Lexi wasn't quite so brave, she jumped in a few times but preferred to be "independent". Haylee was fun to watch as she took in the swimming scene. Her face was surprised, amused and mad at different times. They all had a fabulous time and I got some cute pics!

Below: Lexi is ALWAYS giving Haylee luvs, even in the pool.

Below: I got the pictures in reverse order, this one is the after shot of Sadie's flip
dive into the pool. She about gave me a heart attack, I didn't know what she was
going to do when she jumped!

Below: Sadie's flip dive that I somehow got her upside down in the midst of my
fear for her safety.

Below: Lexi's independence in the pool!

Below: Haylee looking kind of mad. It may have to do with the water that got
splashed in her face just before!
